Play Therapy
Play therapy is a powerful, kid-friendly way to help children work through big feelings and tough experiences—without needing all the grown-up words to explain them. Since play is a child’s natural way of communicating, play therapy uses toys, art, games, and imagination as tools for healing and growth.
In a play therapy session, a trained therapist creates a safe, supportive space where kids can explore what’s going on inside—whether it’s anxiety, anger, grief, family changes, or behavior struggles. Through play, kids learn to express emotions, solve problems, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills. It’s kind of like emotional learning disguised as fun!
What makes play therapy so effective is that it meets kids right where they are—on their level. It helps them feel seen, heard, and understood, all while doing what they do best: playing! It can also help strengthen the bond between kids and their caregivers by creating new ways to connect and communicate.
Simply put, play therapy helps kids feel better, do better, and grow stronger—one toy, game, or story at a time.
