Emily Pennington, MMFT, LMFT-S
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor
Practice Owner
Hi! I’m Emily, and I’m so glad that you’re here.
I specialize in working with teens and young adults who are navigating anxiety (including social anxiety), depression, ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence, spirituality low self-esteem, trauma, work or school stress, major life transitions, friendship struggles, and dating/relationship issues.
I have such a heart for walking with people through these challenges — not just because I’m trained in it, but because I’ve been there, too. As someone who has lived with severe anxiety and more recently been diagnosed with ADHD, I know how overwhelming it can feel. My passion is helping clients move from stuck and scattered to confident, grounded, and empowered.
If you’re feeling ready to turn the page and start a new chapter, I’d be honored to be part of that journey with you.
What it’s like to work with me
Let me just say up front: I’m not a blank-slate, nod-and-stare kind of therapist.
I’m engaged, expressive, and deeply human in the room. I’ll laugh with you, tear up with you, and absolutely gasp with you when your ex from four years ago texts you out of nowhere. (Because come on, that’s a moment.)
Therapy with me is about creating a space where you get to be fully yourself — messy feelings, weird thoughts, vulnerable truths and all. I show up as my real self so that you feel safe showing up as yours. That’s where healing begins. This also includes integrating faith into our sessions if requested:)
In our work together, we’ll explore things like how to communicate more clearly, how to understand and regulate intense emotions, how to reconnect with the parts of you that may have been pushed aside, and how to build a life that feels aligned and whole.
This is your space to be real. To grow. To be human.
Let’s write your story the way you want to live it.
